Have I used "I'll be the judge of that" correctly? Are these okay?

1. "This new car I've bought is insanely good," said George, resting his right hand on the steering wheel. Patrick dragged him from behind the wheel and sat behind it. "I'll be the judge of that," he said, closing the door and putting the car into gear.

2. Martha looked the young man up and down with haughty eyes. She shifted her gaze to Alice who was reading a magazine. "Why should I hire him?" she asked. Alice put the magazine on the coffee table. "He's smart. And he's kinda of good in bed. I should know," she said flashing the young man a mischievous stare. "I'll be the judge of that," said Martha.

Yes, well done. The second example is particularly good.
