Let's take this attested occurence: I LOOK AT YOU AND I SEE THAT YOU ARE ILL.

Now from it can we have others like:

1) YOU LOOK ILL.

2) I SEE YOUR ILLNESS?

How about this instead:

I can see (that) you're ill.

But I think this one is not to different from the original sentence. Maybe it just emphasizes the capacity of the subject to notice that they are ill.

Since we can have "You look ill", does it mean that this sentence completely equals in meaning "I see that you're ill" or "I can see (that) you are ill"
