Put someone's attention on a letter" or "Whose attention should be put/mentioned on a

John: Carter, you need to send our company a letter regarding the information you want from us.
Carter: Okay, I am sending a letter. Whose attention should I put on it?
John: Mine or Jacob's.

Can we say "Put someone's attention on a letter" or "Whose attention should be put/mentioned on a letter" or "Concerned person's attention should be put"?

Re: Put someone's attention on a letter" or "Whose attention should be put/mentioned

Say 'Who should I address it to?'

Re: Put someone's attention on a letter" or "Whose attention should be put/mentioned

Say 'Who should I address it to?'

If someone asks "Whose attention (I have heard it)" or "Who should I address it to" then what should be the reply?

Re: Put someone's attention on a letter" or "Whose attention should be put/mentioned

The name of the intended recipient.

The name of the intended recipient.

Are my questions correct?

Re: Put someone's attention on a letter" or "Whose attention should be put/mentioned

If you mean the questions in post #1 — no, they aren't.

If you are asked 'Who should I address it to?' say

'Write FAO Hugh Anchor on the envelope' ('FAO' means 'For the attention of').
