You can but I saw absolutely no need for it in your standalone question. It would work as part of a longer dialogue.
Helen: What's that animal with green spots and blue legs?
Sam: What? I have no idea.
Helen: Yes, you do. It's that one that makes that really weird noise at night.
Sam: Baffling! Are you talking about some kind of bird?
Helen: No, it's definitely not a bird.
Sam: OK. Is it a mammal?
Helen: No, I don't think so. I think it's native to Switzerland. Does that help?
Sam: Not really! Are you talking about some kind of marsupial.
Helen: No.
Sam: This is ridiculous. What kind of animal are you talking about then?!
