1)If you are interested ......... ..... 2) If you interest in this proposal ..... Explain the two sentences and which one is most suitable?. I think the first one explains, if I like her hence only I propose to her for marriage. Second one is, if she likes me then only she propose me for marriage. Am I right?

The verb is not used that way when transitive. You sentence is not correct.

I don't understand your point. I used the verb in above sentence that is" interest". One is passive and other is active both are different meaning isn't it?. Show me with highlighted colour both 1) and2).

No, "If you interest in this proposal" is incorrect. Note that neither is a complete sentence.

Barb was saying that the verb is transitive -- it needs to take a direct object. You have not used it in that way, hence it is incorrect and the meaning is unclear.

it is used like this "Can I interest you in a cup of tea?"

Here "you" is the object to the verb "interest."

Whether she is "interested" or not does not tell us anything about who might have proposed a marriage.

Transitive: This subject interests me.
It means: I am interested in this subject. I find it interesting.
