I was watching The Martian yesterday, and came across this expression "In your face!", as a teaser. I couldn't get the context and the real meaning.

You saw the movie, so you know the context, I do not.

"In you face" as an idiom means something is so publicly obvious that you cannot ignore it or dismiss it. You are forced to acknowledge it and deal with it.

More likely, someone was pointing out someone else's error/mistake/loss by shoving it in their face.

In this context, the character says "In your face, Neil Armstrong!" after managing to survive on Mars. Here, it carries a similar meaning to "I've beaten you" or "I've done better than you, Neil Armstrong!".

The character is saying that his feat of using science to help him survive on Mars, beats Neil Armstrong's of being the first man to walk on the moon.

The "trailer/teaser" for the film is on this website:

***** NOT A TEACHER *****

Mona: The manager is retiring. Whom do you think the president of the company will choose to replace him?

Raul: I think that Ms. Jones would make a good manager.

George: I agree. She is very intelligent, but she never makes you feel stupid.

Betty: I hope that Mr. Smith is the next manager.

John: Oh, yes, he is very courteous and respectful of everyone.

Robert: How about Miss Carpenter?

Mona, Raul, George, Betty, and John: No way!

Robert: Why not?

Mona: Because she is so in your face.

Raul: That's right! I have never met such an aggressive person.

George: Yeah. Last month, she came up to me in the cafeteria and said, "I always sit there. Move to another seat!"

Betty: And when I told her that I did not agree with one of her ideas, she said, "Keep quiet. I run this department. Do what I say or get out!"
