I produce profit report/ reports everyday.
Note that: there is only 1 report each day.
I produce a profit report every day.

There is of course, nothing wrong with:

I produce one profit report a day

There is also nothing wrong with saying "I produce the daily profit reports" even if there is only one per day. It's still plural as long as you work more than one day.

Since there is no "a, an, the", Barb has told you what to say.

If you want to to keep 'report' singular, then you need an article.

I would certainly agree with that in a sentence, but (in the US) a resume often will use a more headline-style format and omit articles in the bullets that summarize job responsibilities.

While a normal sentence might read "I write the daily profit report that summarizes the prior day's transactions that took place around the world" a resume bullet might read "Write daily profit report summarizing prior day's worldwide transactions."
