Hello,
Does "the posing question" as well as the whole sentence sound good for you?

I will answer the posing question of whether governments need to preserve old historical buildings or not.

No, it's not clear what you mean by "posing question".

May the OP mean the question posed by someone else?

Not a teacher.

No, it's not clear what you mean by "posing question".
For example, I was asked by someone about a problem. That may be something like that "Does the authority need to maintain buildings which are part of a national history". That was the posing question. Does my initial post have sence for you now and does it sound good for you? Is it posible to use "posing" in such a context if I'm going to write my answer?

That was the question [that was] posed.

It's not the posing question.

It's not the posing question.
I'm still confused about how to use "pose" or "posing". Is it possible for me to say "I will answer the posing question of whether ..." or I need to say "I will answer the question posed of whether ..."?

No. You could say "I will answer the question (that has been/was posed) about..." The phrase in brackets is not necessary.

At a push, I might accept "the posed question" in place of "the question which has been posed", but definitely not "the posing question".
