From a CPE practice paper:

I felt relaxed at Gita's house because her parents greeted me so warmly.

Complete the second sentence so that it has a similar meaning to the first sentence, using the word given. Do not change the word. You must use between three and eight words, including the word given.

Gita's parents ..................................... the warmth of their greting. (ease)

My version, 'Gita's parents made me feel at ease by the warmth of their greeting.' The answer key on the other hand says, 'put me | at (my) ease with OR made me feel | at ease with.'

Do you think that my version with "by" also works? Thank you in advance.

I wouldn't use "by".
