[Grammar] ‘over’ VS ‘for’

Are both prepositions over and for OK in the sentence:
“You know you're going to wind up in court over/for this.”
If both are OK, which one is more preferable?
 
Either one is possible. Over emphasizes the fight you and another party are going to have in court; for​ means that your action will make someone else take you to court.
