Can we say:

-I didn't receive the last lesson's summary?

-Can we do the last lesson's debriefing?

(Is "the" necessary?)

I wouldn't use either. I suggest: -I didn't receive the summary of the last lesson.

Yes, it's much more natural than your original sentence.
