Would you be kind enough to tell me whether I am right with my interpretation of the expressions in bold in the following sentences?
So there’s really the rub.
The rub is that so few of the scholars have any sense of true science.
rub = obstruction, difficulty
You have to rub lotion into your skin.
I could feel the cat rubbing against my leg.
Rub the glasses with this cloth.
Rub your hand against this surface.
He sighed and rubbed his hands with pleasure, like a man newly restored to liberty.
