hi

is the word "sacrifice" a count noun?

can i say "he made a huge sacrifice for me"? and also

which one of the following is correct

"he waved me a good bye"

or

he waved a good bye to me"

can i say "he made a huge sacrifice for me"? Yes, you can say this - by saying "a sacrifice" you have made it a countable noun anyway!
He has made many sacrifices for me.

and also

which one of the following is correct

"he waved me a good bye"

or

he waved a good bye to me"

Neither. He waved goodbye to me, or he waved me goodbye. Note: goodbye is one word.
