Use of expression to date

Which is more appropriate. From January 2010 to date I haven't seen him. or
From January 2010 till date I haven't seen him. Are both correct or both wrong?

Hi Joseph and welcome to Using English.

I would say "X started in January 2010, and to date, it has ..."
I would say "From January 2010 until now, ...."
I would not say "From January 2010 to date, ..."

I would definitely use "to date" instead of "till date."

Perhaps this is my personal preference and others would say "From January 2010 to date."

I'd use 'since'
I haven't seen him since January 2010.
There are a lot of terms used in business (commercialese) that are totally unnecessary. This is one of them.

Oh, of course. (Forehead slap) "Since January 2010" would be ideal.
