I am puzzled by the sentence:"Which goes where?"

Hi, I am confused by the sentence: "Which goes where?" Can you interprete this sentence & explain how to use this kind of sentence?

This phrase could be used when someone is asking where items should be placed. For example, if you are bringing cases of canned food into a store, you would ask the manager, "Which goes where" - which cases of canned food go into what area. Where do you want each case (which) to go?
