Voyage - is a long journey by sea or in space.
Crossing - used for a fairly short see journey
Cruise - to sail along slowly, usually for pleasure
(CAN BE USED THIS WAY ?)
The ferry crossing was quite rough.
John went on a luxury cruise around the Med.
The voyage across the Atlantic was uncomfortable in such a small boat.
They say : It is better to travel than to arrive.
