Are both sentences correct? Is "anyone" better than others?

Welllll.... the sentence:
As far as technical knowledge is concerned, hers is superior to others.
This says 'her technical knowledge is superior to that of others.'

The 1st part of the sentence is talking about technical knowledge, not her.
She is superior as far as technical knowledge.... not so good.
Her technical knowledge is superior ... much better.
