Do you understand this?

There were a number of people. Almost all of the people are young boys. There are a few other people who are not young boys.

If this is what you meant to say, your sentence is fine, as already stated. If you had another meaning in mind, try to describe what you want to say and we'll help you write the correct sentence for that meaning.
