Hello!

Could you tell me if it is correct to use "keep an eye on" in this sentence instead of "keep up with"?

Hello!

Could you tell me if it is correct to use "keep an eye on" in this sentence instead of "keep up with"? No.

We don't keep up with the latest fashion. The main meaning is to do something as much as other people or move as fast as other people. (e.g. You're doing the exercises really quickly, I can't keep up with you.)

We don't keep an eye on the latest fashion. The main meaning is to watch someone / something carefully. (e.g. I have to keep an eye on my children whenever we go to the park. They're really playful.)

Thank you,
heyt
