Please correct the following sentence.

Though the trip was only two days, I believed that my whole family would cherish the delight and make our days there became an unforgettable memory.

Please correct the following sentence.

Though the trip was only two days, I believed that my whole family would cherish the delight and make our days there became an unforgettable memory.

I would change it as follows:

Though our holiday break was only two days long, I hoped that my whole family would enjoy it and make our stay/time there become an unforgettable memory.[/QUOTE]

I think "cherish the experience" is relatively idiomatic, if you really want to use the verb cherish (which you should, because it's a lovely and underused word!), but "cherish the delight" sounds a little unnatural somehow.
