    at stage or on stage

It is the biggest stage to be at.

A sports told this when he asked about Olympics. My doubt is that shouldn't it be "on stage" instead of "at stage".
I checked BNC and it has only 70 entries for at stage but nearly 800 entries for on stage.

It depends on what sort of stage you are talking about.

He said in the context of Olympics. He is a tennis player. I can reasonably assume that he is saying Olympics is the biggest competition of all other competitions.(He is not a native speaker)

Re: at stage or on stage

As far as I know the meaning of at the biggest stage or at a certain stage differs from on stage. The first means at a certain point or level while the second refers to the arena where one plays a role. I hope I would be corrected if I am wrong.
