[Grammar] I'm sccustomed to drive/driving a car.

I thought only 2 was grammatical but one of my grammar book say

both are correct.

Are the both sentences grammatical?

in Korea. I have more than 20 grammar books myself. I want to tell you what the book is

but this time the grammar book is from the web, I mean I downloaded the book from a

English study community which is the most famous and popular one among Korean students and

teachers. If you want to have a look I can sent the file to you via email or whatever but

you can't understand the book since it is written in Korean.

I feel that be accustomed to can be followed by either form in BrE, a feeling shared by Swan (2005.299). There are 74 citations for accustomed to + the first form of the verb in the BNC.

The last highlighted line read s root verb , noun or gerund can follow 'be accustomed to'

I appreciate your advice. Actually the content of the book is pretty healthy

but sometimes you know there are a couple of errors and so on.

I will definitely delete the file and not refer to the book for my students.

This one of the example sentences in your book. I'm pretty sure that it's not a natural sentence. The normal question form is, 'Did he use to...?'

This is a perfectly grammatical sentence and one that would have been widely used many years ago. However, these days that form is rare.

I had to use that form until I got safely through my A Levels.
