Hi

I don't suppose you have ----------- money to lend me, do you?
The answer is "any". However, I have my doubt about it. Can't we say 'some'? As far as I remember we can use some in questions that we expect a 'yes answer'. I know it's not a question but it seems like a request. Like 'have you got some money to lend me?'.

If I'm not right, could you please let me know the reason why we use 'any' here?

Thanks a lot.

The use of "I don't suppose" shows that you expect a "no" answer.
