"working hours is" vs "working hours are"?

Hi, Iíve been reading about labor laws here and found something interesting in the comment section. I was wondering which of these sentences are correct and which are wrong?

    1. My working hours is from 8 am to 6 pm
    2. My working hours are from 9am to 8pm

    Thanks

    What do you think?
I'm not a teacher, but I write for a living. Please don't ask me about 2nd conditionals, but I'm a safe bet for what reads well in (American) English.

Re: "working hours is" vs "working hours are"?

    Fill in the gaps:
"My working hours ......... from 8am to 6pm."
"My working day ......... from 8 am to 6pm."
