I cannot find it in any dictionary? Should I change it with "high-tech"?

"tech-heavy" means that the endeavour relies extensively on technology. It sounds like an appropriate term for your sentence.

Using "high-tech" would infer that very recent or advanced technology is involved. This may or may not be appropriate here. In either case, you would be changing the meaning of the sentence. The two terms are not interchangeable.
