Hi guys! I'm looking for an idiom that conveys the following idea: the act of listening to some opinion or idea and accepting it as truth without any kind of investigation, without any kind of thought on the subject.

Thanks in advance !

An idiom is not needed for this idea because we have an excellent word: gullible.

To listen to some opinion or idea and accept it as truth without any kind of investigation, without any kind of thought on the subject, is to be gullible. That's a definition suitable for a dictionary, albeit a trifle long.

She pulled the wool over my eyes, took me for a ride and suckered me in good and proper.'

How about "to take something at face value"?

By the way, my first post on the forums :)
