What's the difference between a countable noun in the singular used with "a" or with "some"
1.You should take up a sport.
2.You should take up some sport.

As an NES but not a teacher, to me:

1. suggests one sport.
2. suggests potentially more thsn one sport.

2.You should take up some sport.

Not a teacher
1. a <=> one
2. some <=> certain, if the word after "some" is "sports" then "some" is similar to "several" (I'm not sure about the equality but they are similar).

Again, not a teacher :)
