Labels/stereotypes, even tough they may pertain to a certain group of people and describe the characteristics of many of the people in that group, are inaccurate in a way that some people from that group may not possess or possess contrary traits indicated by the stereotype.

It makes sense but is grammatically incorrect.

You must say "... are inaccurate in that some people from that group may or may not possess....
