I Know how to do the state ??

Hey everyone,

Im currently trying to translate my first short movie/documentary from english to french and i don't get this i think its an idiomatic expression "I Know how to do the state"
here's the full sentence:

"so i went to this conference and one of the guys said we now have equipment to measure brain wave synchrony and i said great hook me up i know how to do the state.
because i had a background in meditation, martial arts, yoga."
