Hello,

I was translating one text from my native language to english and I was not sure if done the job right with this particular sentence. More then grammer I have doubt about meaning of it. The sentence goes like this:

This gallery works on presentation of artists and placement of their work.

My question is if word "placement" can be used in this context and if this is adequate word for this?

Thanks in advance

My guess is the gallery exhibits the works of artists and tries to sell them to the public.

I agree with MikeNY.

Please note, Begbie, that a better title would have been 'Placement'.

Extract from the Posting Guidelines:

'Thread titles should include all or part of the word/phrase being discussed.'

I would not use "placement". It sounds too much like arranging things on the walls. How about "promoting"? That word carries the meanings of both marketing and selling.

Cool ;) it sounds interesting :) So the sentence can go:

This gallery works on presentation of artists and promoting of their work.

Thx

Just "promoting their work".

Cool. It sounds interesting. Please use standard punctuation. If you want to insert smileys use the :-D icon.

Thanks. (Please use standard English spellings.)

The gallery displays and promotes artists' work.

(This is why people should translate things to their own language from English, or work with a good editor if they try to translate into English.)
