Hello.

How do you pronounce the number 2,200? 'twenty-two hundred'? Or 'two thousand two hundred'? I remember from the forum discussions that in 1,100 and 1,900 it's more common to use 'thousand' and when you say numbers above two thousand you use 'thousand'.

Twenty-two hundred or two thousand two hundred. The former is more common in American English but either way is fine.

And the latter is much more common in BrE.

Thus in BrE with numbers 1,100 and 1,900 it's more common to use 'thousand' but it's not wrong to use 'hundred', but it's not common. When saying numbers above two thousand it's common to use 'thousand' using 'hundred' is not wrong but it's not common either.
2,200 Two thousand two hundred is more common. Twenty-two hundrednot wrong but not cot common.
