I'm watching a tv show called "Broke Girls". In an episode, Max and Caroline went to Caroline's old house and took back her personal stuff. Caroline found $200 in her old wallet. She then brought Max to a Sushi shop. They ordered so much food. When the bill was handed over to Caroline, she saw it and said, "Oh my god. The $200 didn't cover it." Why did she say "didn't", and not "doesn't"?

Two things. One, "doesn't" is the natural choice there. Two, that's the perfect place for an exclamation mark: "Oh my God!"

I would use "so much" in a sentence such as, "I ordered so much food I couldn't eat it all." Otherwise, I would use "a lot of food" or something like that.

P.S. Say they went to Caroline's old house to get her personal stuff.
