I need a help.
Question is this: "Do they have grandmother?"
And answer is "Yes, they do."
Why answer is this?
Could it be "Yes, they have" instead of "Yes, they do"?.
I don't understand.

Yes, both are correct. You need an article before "grandmother".

Usually, when "do" is the auxiliary verb that starts a question, do is repeated in the answer. But I agree, with bhai that "have" is possible.
