[Grammar] I can't have you smoke/smoing.

1. I can't have you smoke.

2. I can't have you smoking.

Sorry for another similar question.

In my grammar book I found the sentence 2 and now I wonder how the two sentences are different in meaning.

I can't have you smoke. = I can't make you smoke.

('I can have you do anything I want you to do.' means that I can (make you)(cause you to) do anything I want you to do.)

2. I can't have you smoking. = I won't allow you to smoke.
