Can you say: I've sofa surfed plenty. VS I've sofa surfed plenty of times. Are both okay?

B B45 Guest Sep 5, 2014 #5 My friend told me that I could sleep on her couch and I say: Can you say: I've sofa surfed plenty. VS I've sofa surfed plenty of times. and Can you say: I've couch surfed plenty. VS I've couch surfed plenty of times. None of these would work?

In BrE, we'd probably say "lots of times". "Plenty" is usually used to mean "ample/enough". I've couch-surfed lots of times. I've couch-surfed many times.
