Can one use:
1) The crisis in June took a turn for the worse.
instead of:
2) The crisis took a turn of the worse in June.
The meaning of 2 is clear. The crisis existed before June but took a turn for the worse in June.
1 seems odd to me. It would make sense if the sentence is about a point of time in June.
