What do you intend doing after passing High school.

Is doing Present participle in the above sentence? I understand a participle is a word formed from a verb which can be used as an adjective. So Verb+ing would be either present participle, gerund or may be used as verb with tenses.

So whenever I see any verb with "ing" I think it is present participle. (if not gerund and verb). Please clarify
