When to use 'made by', 'made of' and 'made from' ? And what is the difference between 'made by Germany' and 'made of Germany' ? Thank you.

Neither "made by Germany" nor "made of Germany" make sense. Perhaps you mean "Made in Germany".

'Made by' identifies the person or process that made something. 'Made by John Smith', 'made by distillation'.

'Made of' and 'made from' can be very similar. Some people might not see any difference between them.

'Made of' tells us the substance that something is composed of. 'This table is made of wood'.

'Made from' tells us the origin of the substance that the thing is composed of. 'These kippers are made from cured herrings'.

'Made by German' and 'made of German' don't make sense.
Made in Germany. Made by a German. Made by (the) Germans.

"Made by Germany" is possible:
Compensation payments made by Germany to war victims have run into the billions of dollars.

"Made from Germany" is possible:
International calls made from Germany used to cost a lot of money.

"Made of Germany" is possible:
No mention was made of Germany during the discussion.
