chill down vs. cool down

It's very hot here. You can take off your suit to "chill down" or "cool down" yourself.

Are they both correct? If so, which is more common? Thank you!

Well, this is not really scientific, :lol: but according to Google search results, "cool yourself down" is probably the most common. It certainly sounds more natural to my ear, as an American native speaker of English. We might also say "cool yourself off".

We don't chill down people (unless it's a corpse).

Also, it should be 'cool yourself down' instead of 'cool down yourself'.

It works as well without "yourself".
