Dear all,

Which would be correct,

"Please kindly acknowledge your receipt of the documentation" or "Please kindly acknowledge your receival of the documentation"?

Somehow "receipt" seems a little off in this case but I have seen it used this way quite a number of times.

Of your choices, only "receipt" but don't use "please kindly" and what you have written is a bit clumsy.

Are you sure you mean "documentation" and not "documents"?

So the scenario is, I am trying to get an acknowledgement from my colleague on the documents which I passed to him earlier.

Thanks for the correction, it should be 'documents' and not 'documentation'. What would u suggest for a better replacement for "Please kindly..."?
 
Don't use 'receival' at all. It's so rare that everybody will think it's wrong. (Click)
 
Standard formal English is "Please acknowledge receipt of ...". There is no need for "your" before "receipt".
 
Please let me know when you have received the documentation.
I maintain this is the simplest form. Replace "documentation" with "documents."
