Hi,

Point out mu mistakes in the following paragraphs, please.

''Life is full of tests. We should face them bravely. Similarly, when a teacher gives us a test to prepare, we shouldn't be worried rather we should take it on the appointed day. We shouldn't deceive ourselves as well as our teachers by making lame excuses.''

Hi,

Can you point out my mistakes in the following paragraph, please?

''Life is full of tests. We should face them bravely. Similarly, when a teacher [STRIKE]gives[/STRIKE] asks us to prepare for a test, [STRIKE]to prepare, [/STRIKE]we shouldn't be worried (about it). Rather, we should do our best to do well in it. [STRIKE]take it on the appointed day.[/STRIKE] We shouldn't deceive ourselves, as well as our teachers, by making lame excuses.''
.

@teeacher, thank you very much.

Why is ''We should take it on the appointed day'' not correct?

I think it is the top grade.

@teechar, thank you very much.

Why is ''We should take it on the appointed day'' not correct?
It's just strange because students don't usually have the luxury of choosing when to take a test.

What about ''We should take it on the day appointed by our teacher without any ifs and buts''?

What kind of "ifs and buts" could there be? Your teacher sets the date of a test and that's the day you take it! Does your teacher usually give you a choice?

Perhaps what you mean to say, Untaught88, is that students should make sure they are prepared so that on the day of the test they won't come down with some mysterious illness. (Or, perhaps, they will be abducted by aliens.)
:)
