    Give it a read

    Hello,

I am wondering if I can use "The book seems to be good, I am going to give it a read."

    Thanks a lot.

    Re: Give it a read

Colloquially, yes. Formally, or in an exam situation, no. (BrE)
Remember - if you don't use correct capitalisation, punctuation and spacing, anything you write will be incorrect.

    Note also the comma splice.
