Hi English learners,

I'm doing some research about writing and have a question for you.
What is the biggest problem or challenge for you when you are writing in English?
Spelling?
Grammar?
Choosing the right vocabulary?
Organising your ideas?
Or something else?

Thanks

For me it would have to be Grammar and choosing the right vocabulary.

Hi English learners,

What is the biggest problem or challenge for you when you are writing in English?

NOT A TEACHER

Hello, Lind:

My biggest challenge is writing in a concise manner.

Here is what I once wrote in my personal journal:

"A little dog suddenly approached me. Afraid that it would bite me on one of my legs, I placed my large shopping bag between the dog and my legs. The dog walked away."

Later, I wished that I had written something like:

"A little dog suddenly approached me. Afraid that it would bite me on the leg, I blocked it with my large shopping bag. The dog walked away."

Hello Ketrin92, and welcome to the forum. :)
Note that the personal pronoun "I" is always capitalized in English.
