I'm a trainee teacher trying to get to grips with teaching English as an additional language.

I'm looking at the phrase 'had not been seen since' and looking for advise on the meaning, form and pronunciation as well as possible problems learners may have.

Any help greatly appreciated.

Welcome to the forum. :hi:

Can you give an example sentence containing the relevant words. It's always hard to come up with the meaning of a few words without context. What problems are you having with the pronunciation?

Please note my corrections above. We ask that English teachers always write in complete sentences on the forum to set an example to learners.

In the US, we say "come to grips." It think they do in the UK, too.

We don't usually like to give help with teacher training assignments. If you're having problems, ask your course tutor for guidance.

Good luck
