    Duck face

    Hello.

    Are both sentences correct?

    1. 'The girl in the picture is making 'duck face'.

    2. 'The girl in the picture is pouting her lips.'

    Re: Duck face

There is no need for "her lips" in sentence 2. You can only pout with your mouth/lips so just say that she's pouting.
Sentence 1 is kind of understandable (although you need an article before "duck face") but it sounds rather odd. I'd probably expect "The girl in the picture is making a face like a duck".

Anyone familiar with the film Four Weddings and a Funeral might remember that Hugh Grant refers to one of the other characters as "Duck Face" throughout the film. She's his ex-girlfriend so I think he was just being a bit mean.
Remember - if you don't use correct capitalisation, punctuation and spacing, anything you write will be incorrect.

Personally, I'm happy with "making a duck face."
