Hello.

Are both sentences correct?

1. 'The girl in the picture is making 'duck face'.

2. 'The girl in the picture is pouting her lips.'
 
There is no need for "her lips" in sentence 2. You can only pout with your mouth/lips so just say that she's pouting.
Sentence 1 is kind of understandable (although you need an article before "duck face") but it sounds rather odd. I'd probably expect "The girl in the picture is making a face like a duck".

Anyone familiar with the film Four Weddings and a Funeral might remember that Hugh Grant refers to one of the other characters as "Duck Face" throughout the film. She's his ex-girlfriend so I think he was just being a bit mean.
 
Personally, I'm happy with "making a duck face."
