I will keep you updated about my progress in applying to graduate school. Thanks again for your assistance. It is much appreciated.

That's the only line I don't like. Opening with "Last time" is confusing because it doesn't refer back to anything. I would start with something like "Unfortunately, I was abroad the last time you visited so I didn't have the chance to meet [up] with you".
