Hello.

How common is the word stress-buster?

Are these sentences correct and natural?

1. For me, mountain climbing is a great stress-buster.
2. Dance is a powerful stress-buster.
3. My favorite stress buster is playing the piano.

Is there a reason that you hyphenated "stress-buster" in sentences 1 and 2 but not in 3.

Note that the correct spelling is "stressbuster". No hyphen. No space. See HERE.

That's a new one to me. Perhaps:

My favorite stress reliever is playing the piano.

I wasn't sure.

So, are those sentences correct and natural?

Yes, they are all correct. How natural they are depends on who you're talking to.

If you're not sure of the spelling of something, look in a good physical dictionary, or Google "correct spelling of [your word]". You can also search online dictionaries. If you spell it wrong, but you're close, it will almost certainly say something like "Do you mean [correct spelling]?"
