5 daisies?

Hello,

I sowed some daisy seed this spring, and they have germinated! But I have 2 questions.

1. Before we see the blooms, can I call them "daisies" now?
2. Can I say "there are 5 daisies in my flower pot", or do I need to say "5 daisy plants"?

In my opinion, you can call them daisies at any stage.
