In my humble opinion, the situation is hypothetical instead of being real, because the speaker uses 'Maybe', which suggests uncertainty.

Many members do not notice the signature line under a post.

That's why I had often said 'but I am not a teacher' in my posts until Rover_KE told me to move it onto my signature line.

But bear in mind that when a new user is sorting out their personal forum settings, one of the options is to not see signature lines. I assume it's to save space on mobile devices but if they tick that box, they won't see any signatures on any device.
